Hiatus Honeymoon

Hey!  Long time...

I had realized it's been a while since I have written, but the extent of the hiatus was lost on me.  Life takes you in different directions sometimes.  It's a windy road with the over-expressed "twists and turns."  I was having so much fun at the adventure of this new landscape that my acting career took a bit of a pause.  

I got married!

I met the man of my dreams and like a whirlwind we got engaged on our one year anniversary and 9 months later we tied the knot.  Literally. We had the traditional Christian ceremony, as well as a Sri Lankan Buddhist ceremony, which had my father-in-law tie our pinkies together with gold thread in a knot and then pour water over them from a silver chalice.  It was pretty awesome to be a part of.  Let's be honest, my whole wedding was awesome.

But now, after gaining seniority at my day job as a flight attendant and fully enjoying the honeymoon stage of our relationship, I am now diving back in the world of acting that is my first love.  (Don't tell my husband I said that... lol)

My agent sadly packed in the towel and quit the biz during that break, so I am going into it solo, but not without gumption.  (Does anybody even use that word anymore?)   I already shot a commercial and went out to another audition today.  Not bad for a few weeks into it.   I have new headshots booked for next week.  TBD as to whether I will promo my photographer or not... lol.  He is a work colleague of my husband.  Hey, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.  Maybe they will be amazing.  And if not, I know I supported an artist who is also a brand new dad.  I'm okay with that.
